Laid Back Weekend

Yesterday weather started of nice in mid 60's and then cold front came in around 4 and temperatures started dropping.  Did some irrigation work early prepping for winter cold while BH attended a book club Tea Party at "Maudees" in Dallas.  BH called twice en route for directions.  Guess that GPS I gave her doesn't work too well in console and turned off. We hooked up around 5:00 to with plans to catch 5:30 viewing "Black Swan" at the Landmark Magnolia. Arrived late and figured to catch next show at 7:00 only to find the 5:30 and 7:00 shows were sold out and next one was at 8:00.  We bought tickets for 8 PM and took in some Mexican food at Mi Cocina's across the street. The spinach enchiladas were good but a little greasy.

Today its off to a nephew and his wife's baby shower at Mattito's in Dallas.  BH loves the Mexican food, me not so much so I will taking in a salad today.

On a sad note the death toll continues to mount on BH's family side with Friday's passing of her Uncle in Ohio.  I was quite close to him and always enjoyed my visits to his farm in Ohio. Her grandmother died in mid September and he was in nursing home at that time.  Glad I drove up from Kentucky to say my farewells.  Very sad to see people in hospital beds hooked up to machines waiting to die and don't know how the staff copes with that every day.  He is in a better place today may God bless his soul.  This year BH lost her Uncle, Grandmother, Cousin, Aunt and a Cousin's Ex husband this past week.
