How to avoid holiday heartburn
Trigger Foods
If you have regular bouts of heartburn, it's important to talk about your symptoms and eating habits with a healthcare provider. Common reflux "trigger" foods include:
-- Tomato-based foods, such as spaghetti sauce, salsa, chili, and pizza
-- Citrus fruits
-- Chocolate
-- Drinks with caffeine or alcohol
-- Fatty and fried foods
-- Garlic and onions
-- Mint flavorings
-- Spicy foods
